Getting to Know You Survey
I'm posting this a little late, as per usual. It's 10:45am right now. I usually like to start the readathon by getting into a good book right away before I do my opening post.
I'm currently reading Fever 1793 right now and I'm really enjoying it - this is the first 1 of 3 'pandemic' books I plan to read while under 'stay-at-home' order these next few weeks (although, 2 of the 3 I hope to finish today).
1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
I am reading from the quaint small town of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina - in the foothills of the Sauratown Mountains
I have two 'pandemic' books that I hope to finish today - Fever 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson and The Transmigration of Bodies by Yuri Herrera.
3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?
No snacks planned but I have 2 containers of Greek Yogurt, blackberries and some dry roasted almonds - I may have a smoothie later . . .
4) Tell us a little something about yourself.
I'm an elementary school teacher trying to get used to teaching online successfully in a way that reaches all of my students . . . but today, I'm going to take a break from all of that and just drink coffee and escape into a few good books.
5) If you participated in the last readathon, what's one thing you'll do different today?
I want to participate in more mini-challenges and update my blog more often - basically, I want to have more of an online presence than I did last readathon.
